The target audience for my Thriller is approximately 18-28 year olds. I have chosen this age group firstly because some of the content such as drug use is not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18 and will probably be less interesting to anyone above the age of 28 in general.
The Thriller was generally aimed at the university scene as people at university are often mixing with people like the characters represented in this film (people experimenting with drugs). This thriller will really affect some people at university as they may be having similar experiences and not realise that these experiences can have serious side effects.
I came to the conclusion that my product should be distributed as an 18 from researching on the bbfc website. My product contains drug use, swearing, violence and in the full film it will contain scenes of a sexual nature this means my thriller is definitely not suitable to anyone under the age of 18.
A typical member of my target audience would be a 19 year old male who has recently discovered the different aspects and dangers of life. The ideal member would of grown up in the UK in a middle class area, a city or a reasonably large town and would probably consume media types such as Facebook, Twitter or Youtube and would pay attention to British TV and news.
